SP5DER x adidas Unveil Supermodified Superstars and Puff-Print Tees in Black, Red
SP5DER dropped the Supermodified Superstar in glossy patent leather with spider web debossing and special corrugated boxes; adidas Confirmed releases the collab globally today, March 3.

SP5DER opened the window on February 27 with an exclusive drop on its Kingspider site, and adidas launches the collaboration globally today, March 3 via the adidas Confirmed app and select retailers. The capsule pairs two patent-leather Supermodified Superstar sneakers in black and red with co-branded puff-print T-shirts, and the sneakers retail for $150 while the shirts are $70.
The shoes read like a stretched-out Superstar: glossy patent leather covers the entire upper and a spider web graphic is debossed into that patent leather across both colorways. The classic Adidas shell toe remains intact, but the silhouette has been nudged into SP5DER territory with metallic silver heel accents and translucent tooling underfoot. SP5DER branding is stamped on the tongue, the heel of the midsole, and across the outsole, giving the collab muscle while keeping the Superstar lineage obvious.
The Three Stripes treatment is where the Supermodified name carries weight - designers repositioned the stripes so they sit closer to the forefoot. As one description puts it, "the three stripes on the sneaker are stressed, bolder, and pushed further up the forefoot," while another notes the stripes have been "shifted down more towards the toe box." Those changes make the shoe read lower and wider in photos, and the extra tooling details sell the rework rather than just recoloring a classic.
Packaging and extras are built for collectors. Each pair ships in "special corrugated boxes stuffed with different-colored thick laces" and includes a laser-engraved spider keychain plus a spider-shaped hangtag. Lace breakdowns follow the release colorways: the black sneaker boxes arrive with solar green, Sp5der pink, and Sp5der yellow thick laces; the red boxes include white, Sp5der yellow, and Sp5der pink alternatives.

Apparel is just as literal. Two co-branded puff-print "I Love Sp5der" T-shirts anchor the drop, the central graphic playing with an adidas Trefoil in place of a heart and adding SP5DER star and spider web motifs found across the brand's catalog. Press materials list the shirts in white and black colorways to match the shoes, and the lineup ships with the same collector-friendly sensibility as the sneakers.
SP5DER is Young Thug's imprint, conceptualized in 2019 and based in Los Angeles while drawing inspiration from the rapper's hometown of Atlanta, GA. This marks SP5DER's first major partnership with adidas following earlier leaks and a surprise black/gold colorway that surfaced at the start of 2026, and the collaboration elevates the label from independent releases to a global retail cadence.
Today’s global drop on adidas Confirmed and select stockists will show how the market values the collision of glossy patent Superstars, conspicuous extra laces, and puff-print merch. With $150 sneakers, $70 shirts, and collector packaging already in hand from the SP5DER exclusive on February 27, the March 3 global release is positioned to be both a mainstream adidas moment and a streetwear collectible test.
