Taguig Arts Festival launches Feb 28 with creative workshop registrations open
Taguig Arts Festival 2026 ran Feb. 28–Mar. 1 with creative workshops open for Taguig residents; slots were limited and selected registrants would get confirmation by email and text.
The Taguig Arts Festival 2026 launched with a public opening at Vista Mall Taguig on Saturday, Feb. 28, and ran through March 1 under the City of Taguig’s program announced in a Feb. 27 media advisory. A Facebook post covering the launch said it was “led by Mayor Lani Cayetano,” and the advisory listed a slate of creative workshops and an on-the-spot painting competition as part of the festival program.
Registration for the festival’s creative workshops was announced as open for Taguig residents. The Taguig News article posted by Vera Victoria reproduced schedule infographics from the Taguig City Government and stated, “Registration is now open for Taguig residents to join the Creative Workshops of the Taguig Arts Festival, to be held from February 28 to March 1, 2026.” The festival’s Instagram account also posted the promotion in all caps: “REGISTRATION FOR THE CREATIVE WORKSHOPS IS NOW OPEN!”
The registration block in the materials stressed limited capacity and selection procedures: “Slots are limited, so participants are encouraged to register quickly for these workshops aimed at enhancing existing skills or providing new knowledge,” and it added that “Selected registrants will receive confirmation via email and text on their mobile phones.” The available sources included the label “Registration Link:” but did not supply a URL, and none of the gathered materials specified fees or materials costs.
The published workshop schedule placed multiple hands-on sessions at TLC Park and the Art Appreciation Talk at Vista Mall Taguig. On February 28 the program listed Bead Making at TLC Park, Lakeshore Activity Center with sessions 9:00 am - 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm; Coffee Making at TLC Park, Dome Area with sessions 9:00 am - 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm; Art Appreciation Talk at Vista Mall Taguig from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm; and a Cosplay Talk at TLC Park, Dome Area from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm, with the schedule text advising that participants are encouraged to wear a cosplay character. The Cosplay Talk entry appears duplicated in the source schedule.
March 1 programming in the schedule listed Candle Making at TLC Park, Lakeshore Activity Center with sessions 9:00 am - 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm, and a Photography Talk at TLC Park, Dome Area from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
The Feb. 27 media advisory also mentioned an on-the-spot painting competition as one of the festival features, but no time, venue, registration mechanics, judges or prize information was included in the materials provided. Other gaps in the published materials included the missing registration link, no per-session capacity figures, no facilitator names for the workshops, and no stated start time for the Vista Mall launch event.
Taguig News’s page elements and the city infographics accompanied the published schedule, and the Instagram and Facebook posts served as the social media announcements. Selected registrants were to receive confirmation by email and mobile text, per the registration block, while organizers did not provide fee information in the collected materials. The festival program as released gave residents the workshop dates, venues and session times but left logistics and several operational details to be clarified by Taguig City communications.
