Target Launches Baby Boutique in Nearly 200 Stores, Adding 2,000 New Items
Target launched a boutique-style baby shop in nearly 200 stores, adding 2,000 new items including UPPAbaby, which is joining the retailer for the first time.

Target rolled out its new "Baby Boutique" concept in nearly 200 stores this month, pairing a dramatically expanded product assortment of nearly 2,000 new items with a boutique-style shopping environment designed to give parents the kind of hands-on guidance typically found at specialty baby retailers.
The boutique brings premium brands including UPPAbaby, joining Target for the first time, alongside Bugaboo, Stokke and Doona. Strollers and car seats are displayed side by side so parents can test and compare them before buying, a layout decision rooted in Target's own research showing parents spend more than three times longer researching baby products than items in most other retail categories. More than half of parents report that buying major gear like strollers and car seats can feel overwhelming, according to the company.
"Guests trust Target to show up for them during life's biggest milestones," said Amanda Nusz, senior vice president of merchandising, essentials and beauty. "Our focus is on bringing together products busy families will love at the value they expect, paired with expert guidance and joyful, easy-to-shop spaces that make preparing for a new baby feel both special and practical."
The expanded assortment spans from $1 everyday essentials to premium products and includes offerings from Wildbird, Lalo, Toddlekind and Wonder & Wise. New wellness lines from Nemah, Tubby Todd, Freestyle and Amara are joining the mix, along with national brand exclusives Joie, Upseat and Nanit. Little Spoon is also expanding its presence at Target as part of the broader category push. The Springfield News-Leader reported the rollout includes five Missouri locations, while Alabama will see three Baby Boutique stores based on regional reporting.

Central to the concept is a free Baby Concierge service pilot powered by Tot Squad, offering personalized one-on-one expert guidance. "This free Baby Concierge service pilot, powered by experts from Tot Squad, gives parents a trusted resource when questions come up, whether they're choosing a bassinet, comparing monitors or building a registry," the company said. Virtual consultations are already available, with in-person appointments at Baby Boutique locations available throughout March. Target has not released a full list of participating store locations.
Beyond the boutiques themselves, nearly 1,000 stores are introducing front-of-department gifting areas, described as seasonal discovery destinations designed to simplify finding presents for baby showers and birthdays. The refreshed online baby shopping experience launched March 15, and Target marked the rollout with an in-store celebration at a Boston location on March 29.
With 1,989 total stores nationwide, the Baby Boutique rollout touches roughly one in ten locations, with Target signaling that additional baby experiences are planned throughout the year.
