Three men arrested after Hotel Fresno fight leaves 16-year-old stabbed multiple times
Fresno police arrested three men after a late-night fight at Hotel Fresno on Broadway Plaza left a 16-year-old boy stabbed multiple times and taken to Community Regional Medical Center.

Fresno police arrested three men after a late-night fight at the Hotel Fresno on Broadway Plaza left a 16-year-old boy stabbed multiple times and an adult woman assaulted, authorities said. The three men are in jail following the incident that drew officers to downtown Fresno just after 11:30 p.m. Thursday.
Officers responded after reports of an altercation that began over music, and investigators described the initial trigger plainly: "There was a fight after a group of people asked another group to turn music down." During the confrontation, "Investigators determined that during the fight, a woman and a 16-year-old boy were assaulted by several people, with the teenager ending up stabbed multiple times." The teen was taken to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment; police have not released additional medical details.
Authorities identified the three men arrested in connection with the incident. "They are identified as 18-year-old Jaysin Jaime, 26-year-old Cortez Venegas and 22-year-old Armando Regalado. Jaime was charged with assault with a deadly weapon, while Venegas and Regalado face charges of battery." All three suspects remain in custody, according to the Fresno Police Department report made available to local media.
The incident occurred on Broadway Plaza outside the Hotel Fresno, a block-long stretch of downtown that hosts hotels and late-night venues. The involvement of a juvenile victim and multiple assailants has prompted investigators to piece together who struck the boy and who used a weapon; police reports so far describe several people taking part in the assault but do not yet specify the weapon type or whether additional suspects will be charged.
Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno received the injured teen for treatment late Thursday night; hospital officials have not issued a statement on his condition. Fresno Police Department officials said investigators determined the sequence of events at the scene, and the department continues to gather evidence and witness accounts to clarify each person's role in the fight.
The arrests bring immediate enforcement action to a late-night downtown confrontation that began with a common neighborhood complaint about loud music. Fresno police continue their investigation, and officials have not released further details on booking, bail amounts, court dates or any changes to formal charges as the case moves through the criminal process.
