Toy Depot opens at Yuma Palms Mall, owners say families will gather

Toy Depot held a ribbon-cutting and grand-opening celebration at Yuma Palms Mall on Friday, Feb. 21, 2026, drawing families and toy enthusiasts to a new storefront that will operate seven days a week from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Owner Clara Verdugo welcomed guests at the event and said she opened the shop to give children and families a local place to gather.

Verdugo described her motivation for opening the store in plain terms at the grand opening: “For me, it's just exciting because I love the little kids,” she said.
