Two Anahola Women Missing: Amy Goodrich, Benetta Kaiwi; Vehicle Found
Benetta Kaiwi’s vehicle was found about 100 feet down the cliff at Lumahai Beach; Anahola resident Amy Goodrich was last seen Feb. 25.

Two separate missing-person investigations out of Anahola have prompted Kaua‘i Police Department appeals after authorities recovered an unattended vehicle near Lumahai Beach and reported a separate Anahola woman last seen this month. Officials urge anyone with information to call KPD Dispatch at 808-241-1711 or submit anonymous tips to Crime Stoppers Kaua‘i at 808-246-8300 or via the Crime Stoppers P3 Tips mobile app.
KPD listed 27-year-old Amy Goodrich of Anahola as missing after she was last seen Feb. 25, 2026. Goodrich is described as 5 feet 1 inch tall, weighing approximately 103 pounds, with long curly blonde hair and brown eyes; clothing at the time she was last seen is unknown. The Kaua‘i Police Department has asked for the public’s help locating Goodrich and provided the 808-241-1711 tip line for any information.
The second case involves 47-year-old Benetta Kaiwi of Anahola, whose vehicle was discovered unattended near Lumahai (Lumaha‘i) Beach on Kauai’s North Shore following reports of a single-vehicle crash. First responders were dispatched at about 8:45 p.m. on Monday after the crash reports, and the vehicle was located roughly 100 feet down the cliffside near the water’s edge, according to public reports. GovDelivery and local outlets describe Kaiwi as five feet six inches tall, weighing about 220 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes; she is identified as being of Hawaiian descent.
Search efforts for Kaiwi brought the U.S. Coast Guard and the Kauai Fire Department into the operation after the vehicle was found near the shoreline. Public reporting includes the wording, "There is a possibility that Kaiwi may have entered the water." Police have not released information confirming that connection and continue to investigate whether the vehicle recovery and the reported crash are definitively linked to Kaiwi’s disappearance.
Kauai police and public-safety partners have repeated the request that anyone who saw activity on Lumahai Beach or the North Shore on the night of the crash, or who has information about either woman’s whereabouts, contact KPD Dispatch at 808-241-1711. Media inquiries for KPD have been directed to Chief of Police Todd G. Raybuck at 808-241-1600.

The two cases are separate: Goodrich’s missing-person notice includes no vehicle or crash details, while Kaiwi’s case centers on the vehicle found at Lumahai Beach and the subsequent multi-agency search. KPD continues to investigate both matters and has asked that witnesses or anyone with relevant video or photos come forward through the listed tip lines.
