A listing from the same week a year earlier shows different donation levels at Baker County Senior Center, illustrating year‑to‑year variation in suggested contributions. That prior week listed a $5 donation for people 60 and older and $7.50 for those under 60, compared with this week’s $6 suggested donation for seniors and volunteers and higher set prices for other age groups.
Public meal programs remain an important local safety-net and social hub for older residents. Because some entries use phrasing such as "suggested donation" while others list firm costs, and a few age-range lines read ambiguously, callers should confirm prices and serving details before arriving. Centers provided phone numbers for last-minute changes, and volunteers and civic groups frequently staff these sites, keeping community meals running.
