Von Ebert Unveils 2026 Beer Calendar, Adds Reverse Math West Coast IPA
Von Ebert released its 2026 beer calendar and added Reverse Math, a 7.5% West Coast IPA in 12-ounce 6-packs, expanding its core to seven beers and ramping up collaborations and seasonal releases.

Von Ebert Brewing has published a 2026 beer release calendar that adds a year-round West Coast IPA to its core lineup and maps out an ambitious production slate for the year. The new core beer, Reverse Math West Coast IPA, checks in at 7.5% ABV and will be sold in 12-ounce 6-packs, bringing the brewery’s core total from six to seven offerings.
Brewmaster Sam Pecoraro framed Reverse Math as both a capacity play and a stylistic counterpoint. “Von Ebert Brewing has always wanted to add a West Coast IPA to our line up but demand for our other offerings was so high, we didn’t have the capacity until now with our new N. Mississippi space,” Pecoraro said. “In the spirit of ‘Where Tradition Meets Evolution,’ we wanted to create a West Coast IPA, Reverse Math, that’s the opposite of Volatile Substance Northwest IPA to provide variety for our IPA customers.” He also outlined the recipe intent: “Utilizing pilsner malt and a more modern hop combination, Reverse Math West Coast IPA gives high intensity aroma and flavor of red berry, sweet fruits, strawberry and guava, all in a crisp and dry profile that defines modern West Coast IPAs.”
Reverse Math is designed to sit alongside established cores Volatile Substance NW IPA, Sector 7 Hazy IPA, Pils (a German-style Pilsner), Clubhaus Lager, Drink Me Potion Raspberry Tart Ale, and Waning Echoes American Stout. The brewery’s 2026 calendar signals a heavy lineup beyond cores, using phrasing that ranges from “over two dozen beers” to “at least 26 other beers.” Plans include four rotating IPAs, six seasonal lagers, variations on the Volatile Substance family, and a string of collaborations with named partners such as Boneyard Beer, Other Half Brewing, Grand Fir Brewing, West Bound and Down Brewing Company, Brujos Brewing, and Highland Park Brewing.
Von Ebert’s new N. Mississippi location at 825 N. Cook St., Portland, is central to the expansion. The space is promoted as home to “Oregon’s, if not the world’s, largest IPA can” and runs location-specific promotions including Volatile Substance NW IPA for $5 between noon and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 20-ounce steins of Clubhaus Lager for $3 all day, every day.

The brewery is also diversifying beyond beer with a branded line called Von Ebert Presents. The initial roll includes three non-alcoholic sparkling hop waters named Boost, Flow, and Chill in 12-ounce cans. The brewery’s press materials note that Von Ebert was “founded in 2018 by Tom M. Cook and Tom S. Cook in Portland, Oregon.” Boost is citrus flavored and contains 70 milligrams of caffeine; Flow features tropical flavors and electrolytes; Chill blends berry and floral notes with lavender and chamomile. Von Ebert plans hard tea in spring followed by hard fruit punch and hard seltzer.
One minor typographical discrepancy appeared in coverage where the IPA name was printed as “Reserve Math” in one instance, but all core materials and Pecoraro’s remarks use Reverse Math. For local retailers, taprooms, and drinkers, the immediate takeaway is clear: expect more year-round variety, a new clean, dry West Coast IPA at 7.5% ABV in six-packs, and a fuller seasonal and collaboration slate across 2026. Keep an eye on the N. Mississippi taproom for early pours and the Von Ebert Presents line for sober-curious and functional beverage options later this spring.
