Warframe Debuts on Android in Canada Ahead of Global February 18 Launch

Digital Extremes has started a Canada-first rollout of Warframe on Android, with Canadian players able to download from the Google Play Store starting Feb 11 and the rest of the world joining on Feb 18. The London, Ontario studio framed the staggered launch as the final phase after a successful Android Closed Beta and a reveal during Devstream 192.

Warframe’s site announced the schedule and explained the rollout: “With the successful completion of our Android Closed Beta, the final phase of Warframe's next Mobile iteration will soon begin! As revealed during Devstream 192, Warframe on Android rolls out in two stages beginning next month. Tenno located in Canada will be able to jump into the action first on February 11. Warframe on Android will then launch globally shortly thereafter on February 18.” That phrasing underlines that this Android build is intended to be the “full Warframe experience” already available on consoles and PC.

Phones must meet clear minimums to run the game: “Compatible with devices running 64-bit Android on an ARM64 processor. Android OS 12.0 or higher. Minimum 4GB of RAM.” The Android release is free-to-play with in-app purchases and supports cross-play across mobile and console platforms. Wccftech highlighted cross-save capability, noting players will “be able to pick up on Android wherever you left off on a different device,” making it simple to switch between PC, console, iOS, and Android without losing progress.

Digital Extremes is also offering a pre-registration incentive for Android players. The site instructs players to “Pre-register via the Google Play Store and log in by March 4 to earn a special Reward: the Cumulus Collection.” That bundle includes the Cirrus Armor Bundle, Cumulus Syandana, Stratus Pistol Skin, Spektaka Color Palette, and a 3-Day Resource Booster. Canadian users who grabbed the client on Feb 11 get a one-week window to play before the global Android release arrives on Feb 18.

The Android launch arrives on the heels of The Old Peace expansion late in 2025 and other recent activity from Digital Extremes, including a noted partnership with filmmaker Werner Herzog and ongoing work on Soulframe, which has been tested via Preludes pre-alpha releases. TennoCon 2026 is scheduled for July 10 and 11, and MobileSyrup reports that tickets will go on sale Feb 27.
