AHL Hall of Fame Class of 2026 Ceremony Now Available On Demand
The AHL posted on-demand video of its Feb. 11 Hall of Fame ceremony honoring Chris Bourque, Alexandre Giroux, Jim Wiemer, and Wendell Young to its VideoCenter on March 15.

Anyone who missed the Class of 2026 induction at Rockford's Coronado Theatre can now watch the full ceremony through the AHL's VideoCenter, where the league posted the on-demand video on March 15.
The ceremony itself took place February 11 as the centerpiece of the 2026 AHL All-Star Classic presented by BMO, hosted by the Rockford IceHogs. The AHL Hall of Fame Selection Committee honored four inductees: Chris Bourque, Alexandre Giroux, Jim Wiemer, and Wendell Young. The All-Star weekend ran across two days, opening with a skills competition on February 10 before the induction ceremony and the All-Star Challenge game both fell on February 11.
None of the four inductees played for the host IceHogs, though the class carries Illinois connections. Alexandre Giroux and Wendell Young both suited up for the Chicago Wolves, and Young's ties to that franchise ran deeper still: he also served behind the bench as a coach for the Wolves after his playing days.

The AHL Hall of Fame has operated since 2006, formed to recognize outstanding achievement and contributions to the league. It is housed online at AHLHallofFame.com and is accessible to fans worldwide through the AHL Internet Network. The VideoCenter posting means the Class of 2026 ceremony joins that permanent digital record, available on demand to anyone who wants to watch the inductions.
Tickets to the live All-Star Classic events were limited to IceHogs season-ticket member packages at the time of the ceremony, with interested fans directed to fill out an online interest form. The VideoCenter release effectively opens the ceremony to a much wider audience weeks after the Coronado Theatre doors closed.
