Kasper Halttunen wired home the game-winning goal with 3:44 remaining in the third period Saturday night, lifting the San Jose Barracuda to a 3-1 victory over the Milwaukee Admirals at UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena and completing a sweep of the two-game road set.

The Barracuda entered the final frame locked at one after a scoreless second period, then broke the deadlock in the closing minutes. Halttunen's 11th goal of the season gave San Jose the lead for good, and Patrick Giles sealed it with an empty-net tally at 18:52 of the third, his eighth of the year, to close out the 3-1 final.

Quentin Musty had opened the scoring at 7:12 of the first, lifting a shot past Milwaukee goaltender Matthew Murray after taking a feed from Noah Beck. It looked like San Jose might carry a one-goal cushion into the first intermission, but the Admirals responded on a five-on-three power play. Austin Roest, who had yet to score on the season, put home a rebound from just beyond the crease to tie it with just 14 seconds left in the period.

The second period produced nothing, setting up Halttunen's decisive moment. Colin White, whose fingerprints were on the victory throughout, finished with two assists.

Laurent Brossoit was steady all night behind a Barracuda team that didn't need much help. He stopped 26 of 27 shots to earn his 13th win of the season and his 10th since joining San Jose. The lone blemish came on Roest's desperation power-play conversion late in the first, which was the only traffic Brossoit couldn't fully control.

With the win, San Jose improved to 34-16-2-2 on the season and 3-1 in the season series against Milwaukee. The Barracuda have now won five consecutive road games, three straight overall, and are 8-1-1 in their last ten. Milwaukee fell to 22-25-4-3.

San Jose returns to Tech CU Arena on Wednesday to host the San Diego Gulls.
