Spencer Martin posted a shutout as Hartford beat Belleville 4-0, snapping a five-game home skid in front of over 6,100 fans at PeoplesBank Arena.

Spencer Martin posted a shutout and Hartford pulled away with four goals to blank the Belleville Senators 4-0 at PeoplesBank Arena, snapping a five-game home losing streak on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026, in front of over 6,100 fans. "Four goals and Spencer Martin's first shutout of the season led the Wolf Pack to victory."
Brandon Scanlin opened the scoring at 6:08 of the first period, his second goal of the season, after he forced a turnover inside his own blue line, chipped the puck around Garrett Pilon and led an odd-man rush into the Belleville zone with Adam Sýkora before ripping a shot by Mads Søgaard. Anton Blidh made it 2-0 at 13:46 when Jaroslav Chmelař drove down the right wing and found a streaking Blidh with a centering pass; Blidh finished the play for his fourth goal of the campaign.
The second period produced no scoring but plenty of pressure from Belleville. The Senators outshot Hartford 9-6 in the middle frame and drew three penalties, but they could not solve Martin, who made several key stops while Hartford's penalty kill secured two kills in the period. Belleville's best chance came on a partial breakaway by Olle Lycksell, who lifted his attempt wide, and Mads Søgaard was credited with six saves in the stanza.
Hartford pulled away in the third with a pair of quick goals 2:15 apart. At 48:20, Justin Dowling finished a sequence started by a lead pass from Dorrington and a Chmelař drop back to the veteran center, who skated to the slot and beat Søgaard for a 3-0 lead. Just over two minutes later at 50:35, Juuso Parssinen batted in a loose puck during a scramble initiated by Casey Fitzgerald for his third goal of the year, giving Hartford a 4-0 cushion that stood as the final score.
Spencer Martin finished the night with the shutout and was the anchor of Hartford's defensive performance; Belleville managed saves from Søgaard but could not convert on multiple power-play chances. The win was the Wolf Pack's first time opening the scoring in ten games and gave Hartford a clean sheet after the Senators pushed into the second period looking for momentum.
This game closed out the season series between the two clubs; Belleville finished 1-1-0-0 against Hartford and the all-time matchup moved to 9-5-1-0 in favor of the Wolf Pack. Hartford will return to PeoplesBank Arena for a home date on Wednesday, Mar. 4 when the Bruins come to town with a 7:00 p.m. puck drop and Wolf Pack Pregame beginning at 6:45 p.m. on AHLTV via FloHockey and Mixlr as the Pack look to build on the 4-0 win.
