Henderson Silver Knights Blank Tucson Roadrunners 5-0 at Tucson Arena
Carl Lindbom stopped all 30 shots for his third shutout of the season as Henderson silenced Tucson 5-0, tightening the Pacific Division playoff race.

Carl Lindbom turned aside all 30 Tucson shots Tuesday night at Tucson Arena, and five different Henderson skaters found the net as the Silver Knights blanked the Roadrunners 5-0 in the first game of a back-to-back series with significant Pacific Division playoff implications.
Jeremy Davies got Henderson on the board in the latter stages of the first period, potting his second goal in as many games to give the Silver Knights a 1-0 lead. Mitch McLain doubled the advantage at 7:51 of the second period, and the game was effectively decided before the third period began.
Henderson kept the pressure on in the final frame. Kai Uchacz converted on a breakaway during 4-on-4 play early in the third to make it 3-0, then Tuomas Uronen ended a personal 12-game goal drought to push the lead to 4-0. With nine minutes remaining and Tucson's net empty, Dylan Coghlan fired the puck the length of the ice to complete the scoring at 5-0.
Lindbom's performance was the backbone of the result. Despite Tucson generating 30 shots, the Silver Knights netminder held firm to record his third shutout of the season.

The stakes around this two-game series are sharp. Henderson and Tucson entered Tuesday's game tied for seventh place in the Pacific Division with 58 points, with the Silver Knights holding the edge on tiebreaker. Henderson arrived in Tucson riding a seven-game unbeaten streak, while the Roadrunners had gone just 4-6 over their last 10 games. Tucson had also returned home from an extended road trip on which they went 3-3, only to find Henderson had drawn level during that stretch.
The two clubs split their earlier season meetings. Tucson lost 4-3 at Henderson on January 24, then won 3-2 in overtime the following night on a walk-off goal from forward Ben McCartney. Over the past five seasons, the Roadrunners hold a 17-10-4-3 edge in the all-time series.
The Silver Knights, an AHL affiliate of the Vegas Golden Knights, carry their records into Wednesday's rematch at Tucson Arena, with puck drop scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Henderson will then travel north for games against the Abbotsford Canucks on March 14 and 15 before facing the Calgary Wranglers. Both road legs can be followed on 1230 The Game or streamed on FloHockey.
