Kings Acquire Forward Jan Jeník From Senators for Defenseman Samuel Bolduc
Jan Jeník, a 258-game AHL veteran with 166 career points, joined the Kings organization after being swapped for defenseman Samuel Bolduc on March 12.

The Los Angeles Kings added a veteran AHL forward to their Ontario Reign affiliate on March 12, acquiring Jan Jeník from the Ottawa Senators in exchange for defenseman Samuel Bolduc ahead of the AHL trade deadline.
Jeník, 25, posted 9 goals and 8 assists for 17 points in 41 games with the Belleville Senators this season, his worst point-per-game pace across six professional campaigns. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound center brings 258 career AHL games and 166 points to the Kings organization, having spent previous AHL time with the Belleville Senators and Tucson Roadrunners. His best professional season came in 2021-22 with Tucson, where he recorded career highs of 17 goals, 30 assists, and 47 points in 51 games. A third-round pick of the Arizona Coyotes 65th overall in the 2018 NHL Draft, Jeník had 24 career NHL appearances split between Arizona and Ottawa, totaling 4 goals and 6 points. He requested a trade out of the Coyotes organization after the 2023-24 season and landed in Ottawa, scoring 21 goals and 46 points in 93 Belleville contests before this deal.
Bolduc, 25, heads to the Senators organization after his first season with the Kings, having skated in 56 games for the Ontario Reign with 5 goals and 16 assists for 21 points and a plus-7 rating. That total falls short of the career high of 35 points he reached twice previously, in 2022-23 and 2024-25. A second-round selection by the New York Islanders 57th overall in 2019, Bolduc brings 52 NHL games of experience, all with the Islanders, along with 267 career AHL games split between Ontario and the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, good for 113 points on 33 goals and 80 assists. The Laval, Quebec native was signed to a one-year, $775,000 contract with Los Angeles after New York opted not to qualify him last summer.

Bolduc is expected to join Belleville immediately, with the Senators anticipating his debut this weekend when they visit the Hershey Bears at Giant Center. For the Kings, Jeník gives the Ontario Reign a forward with a proven AHL scoring track record as both organizations look to strengthen their affiliates for the stretch run.
