Marlies Rally in Third Period to Down Monsters 4-2 in Toronto
Alex Nylander scored twice, including an empty-netter, as Toronto erased a third-period deficit with three unanswered goals to extend their winning streak to four.

Three goals in five minutes of the third period turned a one-goal deficit into a comfortable win for the Toronto Marlies, who defeated the Cleveland Monsters 4-2 Tuesday at Scotiabank Arena to run their winning streak to four games.
Cleveland looked poised to steal the road victory. Luca Del Bel Belluz gave the Monsters a 2-1 lead at 12:27 of the third, finishing off feeds from Ole Julian Bjørgvik-Holmand and Hunter McKown. The lead lasted 32 seconds. Ryan Tverberg tied it 2-2 at 12:59, and Toronto never trailed again.
Logan Shaw put the Marlies ahead for good at 14:26, converting less than two minutes after Tverberg's equalizer. Alex Nylander sealed it with an empty-net goal at 17:44 to complete his two-goal night and make the final 4-2.
Nylander had opened Toronto's scoring in the second period, converting on the power play at 2:25 to answer the Monsters' first-period lead. Cleveland had gone ahead on a Zach Aston-Reese power-play goal at 5:19 of the first, with Luca Pinelli and Dysin Mayo collecting the assists. That man-advantage tally was Cleveland's only success on four power-play opportunities; Toronto converted its lone chance, Nylander's second-period equalizer, finishing a perfect 1-for-1.
Dennis Hildeby made 26 saves in net for Toronto. Ivan Fedotov stopped 22 shots in defeat for Cleveland, which put 28 attempts on goal to Toronto's 25.

The loss drops the Monsters to third place in the AHL's North Division. Cleveland gets back on the ice quickly, hosting the Belleville Senators on Wednesday, March 18, at CAA Arena. Toronto, riding four consecutive wins, next faces the Hartford Wolf Pack on Saturday, March 21.
