Molendyk's Overtime Goal Sends Admirals Past Chicago Wolves
Tanner Molendyk's overtime goal gave Milwaukee a win over Chicago in a game the AHL's own account called "tightly contested."

Tanner Molendyk delivered the decisive moment, scoring the overtime winner to lift the Milwaukee Admirals past the Chicago Wolves in a tightly contested matchup the official AHL account flagged with a highlight clip.
The goal capped another dramatic finish for a Milwaukee team that has made overtime its signature. Just days earlier, the Admirals edged the Rockford IceHogs 2-1 in overtime at Panther Arena on November 7, with Daniel Carr scoring the game-winner with 27 seconds left in the extra session, his second straight OT-winning goal and team-leading fifth of the season. In that Rockford finish, Molendyk set the whole thing in motion, poking the puck down the boards in the Rockford zone to spring Jake Lucchini and Carr on a two-on-one. Lucchini's shot hit the far pad of IceHogs netminder Drew Commesso and bounced directly to Carr for the easy finish. That game featured a bruising 112 combined penalty minutes, all but two of them coming in the first 40 minutes, and took just under three hours to complete.
Against the Wolves, it was Molendyk's turn to be the finisher. The defenseman's OT winner gave Milwaukee another extra-session victory in what has become a pattern of late-game resilience.
The Admirals return to Panther Arena on Wednesday, November 12th for a 10:30 a.m. School Game against the Chicago Wolves, giving a younger crowd a chance to see a team that has made overtime feel routine.
