The Ontario Reign hit 40 wins on the season Wednesday night, beating the Tucson Roadrunners 4-1 to extend their win streak to a season-high five games. The victory was built on individual milestones as much as team execution, with Martin Chromiak, Andre Lee, and Jared Wright each delivering standout performances.

Chromiak opened the scoring in the first period on a power play, his eighth man-advantage goal of the season, assisted by Andre Lee and Logan Brown. The tally tied his AHL career-high with 18 goals and pushed his point total to 40, a new career-best. His shot has long been his sharpest weapon, and the Reign's power play gave him the platform to use it.

Tucson answered in the first on a shorthanded goal from Andrew Agozzino, his 10th of the year, keeping it a one-goal game through 20 minutes. The second period passed without a goal from either side.

Ontario pulled away in the third. Lee scored on a power play, his 22nd goal of the season, with Cole Guttman and Glenn Gawdin picking up the assists. The insurance came courtesy of Wright, who scored twice to finish the night, including an empty-netter assisted by Jack Millar. The two goals pushed Wright to 17 on the season, placing him in a three-way tie for the most goals by a rookie skater in the AHL. His plus-minus of plus-27 leads all AHL rookies.

Lee's night carried extra weight: it was his 200th AHL game, and the goal-and-assist performance gave him his eighth multi-point outing of the season. Millar's assist on Wright's empty-netter gave him four points across his last five games.

Ontario outshot Tucson 27-19 and converted two of six power-play opportunities. The Roadrunners went scoreless on three chances with the man advantage.

Forty wins with the postseason approaching, and the Reign's core contributors are peaking at the right time.
