It is the first postseason qualification for head coach Toby Petersen, who was named the sixth head coach in Texas Stars history on July 7, 2025. Petersen, who spent the previous two seasons as a skills coach with the Colorado Avalanche before taking over in Cedar Park, inherited a program that had already reached the 2025 Western Conference Finals under predecessor Neil Graham.
