Texas Stars rely on veterans and depth after winning 13 of 19
Texas has won 13 of its last 19 games, riding Cameron Hughes’ team-leading 44 points, Arttu Hyry’s return from injury and a veteran core that includes Kole Lind and Vladislav Kolyachonok.

Texas has won 13 of its last 19 games and is leaning on veteran presence and organizational depth as it moves into the late-season stretch. Cameron Hughes leads the Stars with 44 points and represented the club at last week’s AHL All-Star Classic, providing the primary playmaking punch during the run.
Hughes and Kole Lind bring recent championship experience to the locker room; both went to the Calder Cup Finals in back-to-back seasons with Coachella Valley before joining the Dallas organization last year. Returnees from last season know that they can manage both games and pressure, a continuity the Stars have leaned on through tighter late-game situations.
Offense will also get a lift from Arttu Hyry, who had 24 goals last season and is back from injury. Hyry’s return restores last season’s secondary scoring and gives Texas another proven finisher as the schedule compresses and matchups become more consequential.
On the back end, defenseman Vladislav Kolyachonok returned to the team last month after a detour to Boston via waivers, bolstering a defensive corps that has needed reliable minutes during the stretch run. Kolyachonok’s re-addition provides the Stars with a veteran defensive option who can eat shifts and stabilize pairings.

In goal and team composure, Rémi Poirier has held tight many nights even when the team around him went through its early hard times, giving the Stars a steadying presence between the pipes as other pieces cycled through injury and roster moves. That steadiness has helped Texas convert close games into wins during the 13-4 portion of the recent 19-game span.
With Hughes at 44 points, Hyry back from injury, Kolyachonok reinstated after a waiver detour and Calder Cup Final experience in Hughes and Lind, Texas is dialing up experience and depth for the stretch run. The combination of scoring, defensive reinforcements and goaltending resilience will be the concrete elements the Stars rely on as they pursue position and momentum down the final weeks of the schedule.
