Tommy Bergsland's First AHL Goal Sparks Stars' 5-2 Win in Milwaukee
Tommy Bergsland scored his first AHL goal at 8:56 and the Texas Stars beat the Milwaukee Admirals 5-2 at UW–Milwaukee Panther Arena.

Reid Schaefer opened the scoring for the Milwaukee Admirals at 2:19, but Tommy Bergsland tied it for the Texas Stars with his first AHL goal at 8:56 as Texas rallied for a 5-2 victory at UW–Milwaukee Panther Arena. Arno Tiefensee earned the win in goal for Texas, stopping 28 of 30 shots.
The second period swung the game. Matthew Seminoff gave Texas a 2-1 lead at 24:36 after intercepting the puck in the neutral zone and burying a wrist shot off the iron on the ensuing rush. Milwaukee answered 45 seconds later when Fedor Svechkov knocked in a rebound from the edge of the crease at 25:21 to make it 2-2. Sean Chisholm reclaimed the lead for the Stars with 3:09 remaining in the second, burying a pass from Justin Ertel at 36:51.
Texas began the third period killing a double minor carried over for Luke Krys after a high-sticking call late in the second, and the penalty kill held. Cameron Hughes then provided insurance 4:36 into the third (43:23) when he raced down the right wing, cut toward the slot, chipped the puck to himself and scored on a one-timer to push the score to 4-2. Arttu Hyry sealed the game with an empty-net goal at 58:59 to finish the scoring at 5-2.
Goaltending numbers underlined the result. Tiefensee finished with 28 saves on 30 shots for the Stars. Milwaukee netminder Magnus Chrona was charged with four goals on 29 shots in the loss. The Stars’ defensive plays on the penalty kill and timely finishes in transition limited Milwaukee’s opportunities after the early lead.

The win extended Texas’ recent surge; the Stars have won nine of their last 11 games and have taken six of eight meetings with Milwaukee this season. Head coach Toby Petersen called the outing the club’s most complete effort, saying, “they did what we asked, and that's one of the biggest positives coming out of this game: the way they responded.”
Bergsland’s milestone goal and the late insurance pushes gave Texas a clean road victory at UW–Milwaukee Panther Arena and a momentum boost as the Stars continue their strong stretch of results against Central Division rivals.
