Lindon Days adds first-ever cornhole tournament for local players

Lindon City is putting cornhole on the Lindon Days schedule for the first time, inviting residents to grab a partner and sign up for what it calls the first-ever Lindon Days cornhole tournament. The addition turns a backyard staple into a festival bracket with a clear entry point for local players who want a low-barrier way into the city’s summer celebration.

The tournament fits inside Lindon Days, which runs Aug. 1-8, 2026, under the theme “Stars, Stripes & Small-Town Nights.” Lindon City describes Lindon Days as a cherished tradition that brings the community together each summer, and its promotional material says the festival is a weeklong celebration held during the first full week in August. That timing gives the cornhole event a built-in crowd and places it alongside the city’s concerts, parades and family activities.

City messaging makes the format sound intentionally accessible: players need a partner, and the tone is geared toward friendly competition rather than a closed competitive scene. That matters in cornhole, where doubles play is the most familiar festival format and often the easiest way to bring in families, neighbors and casual throwers who may not follow the tournament circuit.
