FPV Street League Announces Season V, National Calendar and Rule Set
Street League Spec posted Season V updates including a national calendar, competition-rule refresh and a pending RPM-limiter decision due before April 1st, plus a detailed Fri-Sun race format pilots must train for.

Street League’s FPV arm, described in its announcement as the open-spec, spectator-focused arm of spec-format FPV racing often referred to as Street League Spec, has published a headline update on its website announcing Season V and a refresh of its national calendar, event pages, and competition rules. The schedule package that accompanies the update lays out a three-day race weekend rhythm and a technical timeline pilots need to act on now: a final call for RPM limiting software for Season V will be made before April 1st.
The operational outline is specific: racing will take place Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and Friday is NOT a setup day so pilots are instructed to plan travel on Thursday. Morning sessions are billed as "all you can fly free practice" beginning as soon as the track is set up, and pilots "will get a minimum of 2 timed practice packs in." Afternoon sessions feature 6-8 Points Rounds used to seed the Elite 8 and Next 8, with the number of Points Rounds to be announced at the end of round 3. Evening programming stages Elite 8 and Next 8 finals running in parallel with races alternating and a podium ceremony scheduled directly after the Elite 8 Golden Heat.
The schedule document lists pilot handles that appear at the top of the entry list and should be considered confirmed for Season V publicity: LeadFingers, Myopic, MalibuFPV, wildtype, BOZLI, pappawoody, and ShawarmaDharma. The published roster extract ends with an ellipsis, indicating additional pilots are on the list but were not included in the provided extract.
Street League’s rules update also includes a hard-weather contingency and a result threshold. The series will operate as "an 'all weather' event. As long as we can keep the flight line and pits dry, the race will go on, so come with your drones prepared." The plan adds that in the event of severe weather organizers will "do everything in our power to complete a minimum of 6 points rounds, after which the results are final if the event can't continue."

Technical enforcement is the immediate action item for teams. The schedule states that the RPM-limiting software will be available on all main branch Betaflight supported flight controllers and that pilots are encouraged to use the Season IV Hex's or BF 2025-12 with 'Race Pro' option flashed and a 13k RPM limit to train in the meantime. That recommendation makes the April 1st software decision the decisive deadline for final setups and vendor compatibility checks.
Separately, Street League Skateboarding confirmed that it would return to Sydney’s Ken Rosewall Arena to open the 2026 World Championship Tour on 14 and 15 February 2026, following sold-out editions in 2023 and 2024; pre-sale tickets opened 28 October at 10:00 A.M. AEST and general tickets went on sale 30 October at 10:00 A.M. AEST. NSW Minister for Jobs and Tourism and Minister for Sport Steve Kamper said, "Hosting the Street League Skateboarding Championship Tour puts our city back in the spotlight, as the world’s best skaters bring their talent and energy to one of Sydney’s premier sporting precincts. It’s another major win for Sydney, attracting visitors from across the globe and showcasing our city’s unmatched energy and lifestyle. We can’t wait to welcome competitors and fans next year to our Harbour City for an unforgettable celebration of sport, skill and vibrant culture."
Street League Spec’s Season V package gives pilots clear short-term homework: book travel for Thursday, log practice time on Season IV Hex's or BF 2025-12 with Race Pro and a 13k RPM cap, and watch for the formal RPM-limiter release before April 1st that will lock in the technical baseline for the national calendar.
