Jackson State sends six players to HBCU Legacy Bowl in New Orleans
Six Jackson State players, led by SWAC Defensive Player of the Year Quincy Ivory and QB JaCobian Morgan, are headed to the Allstate HBCU Legacy Bowl at Yulman Stadium to showcase for NFL scouts.

Six Jackson State standouts will take the field at the Allstate HBCU Legacy Bowl at Yulman Stadium in New Orleans, with the Tigers’ contingent assigned to Team Robinson as they chase NFL evaluations ahead of the April 23-25 draft in Pittsburgh. The official HBCU Legacy Bowl roster issued by AllAccessFootball lists JaCobian Morgan, Donerio Davenport, D’Andre Townes-Blue, Quincy Ivory, Jeremiah Williams and Reid Pulliam among the participants in the 5th Annual event.
Quincy Ivory arrives as Jackson State’s top prospect. Sports Yahoo noted that “Ivory is the Tigers' most prominent prospect. He was named SWAC Newcomer and Defensive Player of the Year.” Ivory finished 2025 with six sacks and 14 tackles for loss, totaled 71 tackles, forced two fumbles, intercepted one pass and recovered a fumble, and is listed on the official roster as #6, DL, 6’3, 239.
JaCobian Morgan will showcase his dual-threat resume despite an injury-shortened season. Clarion-Ledger reports “Morgan was selected for the HBCU Legacy Bowl despite missing five games because of a foot injury. He threw for 1,187 yards and 11 touchdowns with two interceptions while completing 60.1% of his passes. He also rushed for 293 yards and three touchdowns on 42 attempts.” Morgan is included among Team Robinson’s quarterbacks on the AllAccessFootball roster.
The Jackson State backfield will feature Donerio Davenport, who figures to battle for reps and late-round attention. AllAccessFootball lists him on Team Robinson as #19 Donerio Davenport, RB, 6’1, 210. Clarion-Ledger and Sports Yahoo show Davenport rushed for 663 yards on 102 carries in 2025, scored a team-high seven rushing touchdowns, averaged 6.5 yards per carry and caught nine passes for 54 yards.

Jackson State’s front seven is further represented by Reid Pulliam, a first-team All-SWAC linebacker who led the Tigers with 74 tackles in 2025, recording 10 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, two pass breakups and forcing and recovering a fumble. AllAccessFootball lists Pulliam as #7, LB, 6’3, 229. D’Andre Townes-Blue gives the offense an experienced interior presence after starting 10 games at left guard and earning two-time first-team All-SWAC honors, per Clarion-Ledger. Defensive tackle Jeremiah Williams is listed on the official roster as #99, DL, 6’2, 314.
Team Robinson is coached in New Orleans by Prairie View A&M’s Tremaine Jackson and Quinn Gray, the latter having been hired by Florida A&M this offseason, and is named after former Grambling State coach Eddie Robinson, Clarion-Ledger reports. Broadcasters for the game on NFL Network are slated to include Steve Wyche, Bucky Brooks, Charles Davis and Sherree Burruss, and Jackson State’s Sonic Boom of the South marching band will perform the halftime show.
There is a television time discrepancy to note: Clarion-Ledger lists the kickoff at 3:00 p.m. CT on NFL Network while AllAccessFootball lists the broadcast at 3:00 p.m. Eastern. The event page and official outlets list NFL Network as the broadcaster; verify the final kickoff window with NFL Network. With the NFL Draft set for April 23-25 in Pittsburgh, these six Tigers go to Yulman Stadium seeking measurable reps and scout attention that can materially affect draft stock.
