Marist Releases Complete 2026 Football Schedule Featuring Friday Night Opener

The Marist Red Foxes' 2026 football schedule, which includes six home games and 12 contests total, opens Aug. 28 with a Friday night road trip to New Haven, marking the program's earliest season opener since joining the PFL.

Marist then returns to Poughkeepsie, N.Y., on Sept. 4 for its home opener, hosting Franklin Pierce in another Friday matchup at Tenney Stadium at Leonidoff Field, a game that was previously unannounced when the PFL schedule dropped in January. The Red Foxes continue non-conference play on Sept. 12 with a visit to Lafayette before entering their open date on Sept. 19. That early three-game stretch against New Haven, Franklin Pierce, and Lafayette sets the non-conference tone before a fourth and final non-league test arrives later in the year.

Marist begins Pioneer League action on Sept. 26 when it hosts Presbyterian at Tenney Stadium. Conference play continues Oct. 3 with a road trip to Stetson, followed by the team's final non-conference game of the season on Oct. 9, a Friday night home matchup against Columbia. Three Friday night games on the schedule, with two at Tenney Stadium, give head coach Mike Willis multiple showcase opportunities early in his third season leading the program.

Marist then resumes PFL action Oct. 17 at Drake before returning home Oct. 24 to face St. Thomas. The Red Foxes close October with a road contest at San Diego on the 31st.

Marist returns home Nov. 7 to host Morehead State and remains in Poughkeepsie Nov. 14 for its final home game of the season against Butler, before the regular season concludes Nov. 21 with a road trip to Davidson.

In all, Marist will play 12 games in 2026, with eight against Pioneer Football League opponents, and for the second straight year the Red Foxes will have six home games at Tenney Stadium. The 2026 PFL slate consists of the same eight opponents Marist faced in 2025, with the home and road sites reversed for all eight games.

Marist finished the 2025 season 5-7 and 3-5 in Pioneer League action. Kickoff times and television designations for each game have not yet been confirmed and will be updated on the official schedule page as they are announced.
