Northern Arizona, Northern Iowa Among FCS Programs Making Key Recruiting Moves
Northern Iowa offered in-state receiver Jordon Green, who had 68 catches for 1,189 yards last season, after a junior day visit with the Panthers.

Jordon Green walked out of Northern Iowa's junior day on Wednesday with more than a campus tour to show for it. The in-state wide receiver received an offer from the Panthers after sitting down with wide receivers coach Jack Johnson, becoming the latest prospect to benefit from FCS programs intensifying their outreach as spring recruiting season kicks into high gear.
Green attended the junior day in Cedar Falls and received his offer after meeting with Johnson, who walked him through the school and then delivered the news. "The visit went very well," Green said. "We just went around and toured everything."
The production behind the offer is hard to ignore. Last season, Green finished with 68 receptions for 1,189 yards, averaging 17.7 yards per catch with 14 touchdowns, and also added a kickoff and punt return touchdown. For a Panthers program looking to build at receiver, that kind of efficiency from an in-state prospect represents exactly the type of target worth prioritizing early.
Green described his recruitment as going well so far, noting he has been hearing primarily from Midwestern schools, with upcoming visits to Iowa and South Dakota State on his schedule.

Meanwhile, Northern Arizona extended an offer of its own to a prospect who can hurt opposing defenses on both sides of the ball. The Lumberjacks offered the two-way playmaker after running backs coach PJ Mays made the call on Monday. Last season, the prospect carried the ball 93 times for 735 yards at 7.9 yards per carry with 13 touchdowns, while also posting 137 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, and two sacks on defense. That combination of backfield production and defensive impact makes him the kind of versatile prospect that FCS staffs covet, particularly in a conference where roster depth at multiple positions is a competitive necessity.
The prospect is scheduled to visit Flagstaff in the coming weeks for a look at the NAU program firsthand. During their call, Mays congratulated him on the offer and detailed the culture and schedule the Lumberjacks follow.
With recruits making their way to spring practices and junior days across the country, offers are moving fast. Both Northern Arizona and Northern Iowa are making clear they intend to be early and aggressive in that competition.
