Southeastern Louisiana Opens Feb. 24 Spring Practices with Schedule Through March 28

Strawberry Stadium hosted Southeastern Louisiana's first spring football practice Feb. 24, when head coach Frank Scelfo led the Lions onto the field to begin a five-week on-field schedule that ends with Super Lion Saturday on March 28. Practices will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:40 p.m. and on Saturdays at 10 a.m., with the schedule running through Super Lion Saturday on March 28. The timetable keeps weekday sessions late in the afternoon while preserving a morning Saturday workout, a structure the program released to outline how the spring will be organized.

Frank Scelfo directed the initial work on Feb. 24 at Strawberry Stadium, moving the roster through the announced practice times as the staff sets plans for position battles and on-field installations. The repetition of Tuesday-Thursday and Saturday sessions provides specific moments for the coaching staff to assess quarterbacks, offensive line groupings, and special teams work across multiple scrimmage-type environments.
