Brazen Persuasion joins Fasig-Tipton April Digital Sale after $2.3 million filly sale
Brazen Persuasion’s market value jumped again after her Jackie's Warrior filly brought $2.3 million, and now the Saratoga stakes winner is in Fasig-Tipton’s April Digital Sale.

Brazen Persuasion has turned a single juvenile auction result into immediate mare-market heat. The 2013 Schuylerville Stakes (G3) winner was supplemented to Fasig-Tipton’s April Digital Sale with her 2026 Bucchero filly, foaled April 16 in New York, after her Jackie's Warrior daughter sold for $2.3 million earlier in the week.
That price did more than make headlines. The filly was the highest-priced filly ever sold at the OBS Spring Sale and the second-highest-priced juvenile in the sale’s history, trailing only Conquistador at $2.45 million in 2017. Offered as Hip 570 by Hartley/DeRenzo Thoroughbreds, she breezed in :9 3/5 during the under-tack show before drawing a final bid from Dermot Farrington, who was bidding on behalf of Mrs. Fitriani Hay.
For Fasig-Tipton, the timing created a clean commercial follow-through. The April Digital Sale already had 143 entries, with bidding opening April 16 and closing Tuesday, April 21, at 2 p.m. ET, and Brazen Persuasion arrived right as buyers were sorting through mares and horses with immediate breeding-ring appeal. Leif Aaron, Fasig-Tipton’s director of digital sales, called her “an exciting addition” because her current 2-year-old by Jackie's Warrior was a session topper earlier in the week.
That combination matters. Brazen Persuasion is not just a mare with pedigree value; she is a stakes winner whose family page now carries one of the most powerful commercial signals in the juvenile market. Her daughter’s result showed how quickly a strong under-tack performance and a hot first-crop sire can push a broodmare family into premium territory, and the new Bucchero filly adds another sellable asset without forcing the connections to move the mare off the farm. Fasig-Tipton said it is happy to offer that option, keeping the mare and foal in place while the market decides what that bloodstock profile is worth.
The sale also underscores how fast momentum can move in Thoroughbred breeding. One $2.3 million filly can change the conversation around an entire family, and Brazen Persuasion now enters the digital ring as both a black-type mare and the dam of one of the most expensive juveniles ever sold at OBS. In a spring market that is already watching elite commercial families closely, that is the kind of name recognition that can turn a supplement into one of the sale’s most watched listings.
