Godolphin's Knightsbridge dominates Gulfstream Park Mile for third straight Grade 3
Knightsbridge exploded to an 11 1/4-length win in the Gulfstream Park Mile, his third straight G3 and fourth straight victory, recording 1:35.77 for the one-turn mile.

Knightsbridge exploded to an 11 1/4-length victory in the Gulfstream Park Mile (G3), reasserting his dominance in older-male one-turn dirt races and posting a final time of 1:35.77 at Gulfstream Park. The Bill Mott-trained, Godolphin homebred five-year-old was ridden by Junior Alvarado and carried 125 pounds from post 6 in the $225,000, one-mile stakes for 4-year-olds and up.
GulfstreamPark's chart lines note that Knightsbridge "has won six of eight career starts around one turn" and that he "ran the mile in 1:35.77 well within himself. 'He ran really well'." Those figures extend a purple patch that includes a 4 3/4-length score in the Mr. Prospector Stakes (G3) on Dec. 27, 2025 and a follow-up Fred W. Hooper Stakes (G3) one-turn mile victory by the same margin, giving him three consecutive graded stakes wins and four straight wins overall.
Godolphin's race report laid out the on-track sequence: Knightsbridge "broke on terms and disputed second on the outside of Bernin Hot." The account continues that "Mika led the five runners, with Knightsbridge moving up to a clear second after the first quarter-mile before cruising up to join the leader under a motionless Junior Alvarado with three furlongs left." Godolphin concluded that "Knightsbridge immediately took control and streaked clear under minimal persuasion entering the straight, with the Nyqusit entire coasting home to cross the line 11 and a quarter lengths in front."
Mott framed the day's plan and the next destination in clear terms. "We figured that Mika might show some speed and go to the lead, which we were fine with. We were going to be content to track him, and that's what Knightsbridge did until the three-eighth pole. That's his last race here and he will most likely go to Kentucky now," Mott said, indicating a move toward higher-level targets. Godolphin added that "Knightsbridge earned himself a chance in G1 company as he registered a third straight G3 success" and suggested the colt looks set to be aimed at the G1 Churchill Downs Stakes on Kentucky Derby Day, a race Godolphin noted Cody's Wish won in 2023.
Connections and pedigree add commercial heft to the performance. Godolphin described Knightsbridge as a homebred "Nyqusit entire" and identified him as a half-brother to G1 Carter Handicap winner and current Darley stallion Speaker's Corner, a link that will factor into stallion-market valuations should Knightsbridge step successfully into Grade 1 company.
One reporting discrepancy remains: Bloodhorse's pre-race entry listed six expected starters in the Gulfstream Park Mile while Godolphin's narrative repeatedly refers to "the five runners." The official Equibase chart from Gulfstream Park will confirm whether a late scratch altered the field and will provide final order of finish, official margins beyond the winner, and pari-mutuel results. For now, Knightsbridge's 11 1/4-length rout and 1:35.77 clocking leave him squarely on an upward trajectory toward Kentucky and potential Grade 1 assignment.
