Goodwood names Fitzdares sponsor for key 2026 meeting blocks
Fitzdares will front Goodwood’s Season Opener, May Festival and Three Friday Nights, putting a betting brand into the course’s busiest early 2026 racegoer moments.

Goodwood has put Fitzdares at the center of three of its most visible early-season cards, a move that reaches beyond signage and into how the meetings feel for the crowd. The presenting partnership covers the Season Opener on Friday 1 and Saturday 2 May, the May Festival on Friday 22 and Saturday 23 May, and Three Friday Nights on Friday 5, 12 and 19 June.
For racegoers, that matters because those are not minor dates on the calendar. The Season Opener gets Goodwood’s flat-racing year underway, the May Festival is the second fixture of the season, and Three Friday Nights is the course’s most distinctive hybrid product, blending afternoon racing with evening live DJ music in the Parade Ring. This year’s line-up includes Sub Focus, Riordan and DJ Luck & MC Neat, which gives the partnership a built-in audience split between serious punters, social crowds and music-led visitors.
Goodwood has long sold itself on atmosphere as much as spectacle, and the Fitzdares tie-in fits that identity. The estate says its first public race meeting took place in 1802 and that it has been linked with horseracing for more than 200 years. It also leans on King Edward VII’s old description of Glorious Goodwood as “a garden party with racing tacked on,” a line that still captures how the venue wants to position itself in 2026. The racecourse markets itself as “the most beautiful in the world,” and the presenting deal gives Fitzdares a role inside that premium setting rather than only alongside it.
That is where ordinary attendees should notice the difference. Goodwood’s May Festival is being pitched as a chance for racegoers to find outfit and styling inspiration before the Qatar Goodwood Festival presented by Visit Qatar, which runs from Tuesday 28 July to Saturday 1 August. The early-season blocks now have a more visible commercial identity attached to them, which can shape everything from hospitality tone to the kind of crowd each meeting attracts.
Fitzdares is not entering the picture as a stranger either. The premium online sports betting and casino operator said its Club began as a pop-up in 2018 and has previously moved through Glorious Goodwood, giving the relationship a longer on-site pedigree than a one-off activation. For Goodwood, the deal strengthens the presentation of three dates that are already crucial to the season’s rhythm. For attendees, it should mean a stronger sense that the racing, the social scene and the sponsor’s presence are all part of the same event.
