Todd Schrupp parted ways with FanDuel TV, ending a 26-year run that began with TVG's 1999 launch, FanDuel Racing announced on Feb. 13, 2026. The network’s social posts confirmed the split but gave no reason for the departure, creating immediate questions about who will anchor coverage of the sport’s biggest days.

FanDuel Racing posted on X: “FanDuel TV and Todd Schrupp have parted ways. We're grateful for Todd's contributions to the network. He played an important role in helping grow our on-air presence and connecting with viewers. We thank him for his work and dedication and wish him all the best in his future…” The same statement appeared on FanDuel Racing’s Facebook account with the closing line extended to read, “we wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”

Schrupp’s exit removes one of the network’s most visible on-air hosts and handicappers. Over his 26 years with the channel he was often used to anchor coverage of major events such as the Grade I Kentucky Derby and the Breeders' Cup, serving as a regular presence for viewers on pre-race analysis and live broadcasts of marquee stakes days.

Before joining TVG at its 1999 launch, Schrupp worked in marketing and customer relations at Canterbury Park and served as an in-house handicapper at Calder Race Course. That career path, track-side roles into national television, was the backbone of his profile on the network and helped establish him as a recognizable voice for race fans across simulcast windows and big-event coverage.

The split follows reports earlier in February that flagged an unexplained absence and an expected return that did not materialize; that absence "still has not been explained." FanDuel declined to elaborate on personnel reasons when asked, with a spokesperson saying the company would not comment on personnel matters.

Industry coverage has also pointed to other personnel items in recent weeks, increasing scrutiny on how the network will staff upcoming spring fixtures. With Schrupp’s departure announced on Feb. 13, the network faces the immediate operational task of filling on-air roles for the lead-up to Triple Crown season and the Breeders' Cup calendar, events where Schrupp had anchored coverage and where viewer familiarity with hosts can influence ratings and engagement.

Schrupp’s next steps were not disclosed in FanDuel's posts. His 26-year tenure, rooted in TVG’s 1999 launch and extending through the network’s rebranding to FanDuel TV, leaves a gap in institutional memory and handicapper continuity that the network will need to address ahead of the season’s high-stakes broadcasts.
