She Be Smooth arrived at Gulfstream Park Oaks week having never lost a race, and she earned that status the hard way: a 2 1/4-length maiden graduation on Jan. 23, then a six-length demolition of the Davona Dale (G2) field in her stakes debut, all without ever having raced at age two. Flavien Prat will ride from Post 6 when the 56th running of the Grade 2, $275,000 Gulfstream Park Oaks goes to post at 3:31 p.m. ET on March 28 at Hallandale Beach, Florida.

Seven 3-year-old fillies will face the starter in the 1 1/16-mile test, which carries 200 Kentucky Oaks qualifying points distributed 100-50-25-15-10 to the top five finishers ahead of the May 1 Kentucky Oaks (G1).

The Davona Dale rematch will be the race's central thread. My Miss Mo, who finished second to She Be Smooth in that Grade 2, draws Post 2 with Tyler Gaffalione, who trained under Saffie Joseph, Jr. The Uncle Mo filly broke her maiden by 12 lengths against Florida-breds on Nov. 9 at Gulfstream, then ran fourth in the Sandpiper at Tampa Bay Downs to close her juvenile season. She will be attempting two turns for the first time in the Oaks.

Also returning from the Davona Dale is JSM Equine's Haute Diva, who finished fifth that day but brings a compelling Gulfstream dirt profile: first or second in six of seven career starts on that surface, including a 14-1 upset in the one-mile Cash Run on Jan. 1. The Constitution filly, whose sire won the 2014 Florida Derby, draws Post 7 with Joel Rosario.

Twice Grade 2-placed Just Singing, trained by J. Kent Sweezey and ridden by John Velazquez, most recently ran third in the Rachel Alexandra (G2) and enters with a rating of 7.38 on the Horse Racing Nation table, the highest in the field among horses whose figures were published. Stablemate to My Miss Mo under Saffie Joseph Jr., Nasti Z draws Post 3 with Micah Husbands after winning a maiden claimer by two lengths sprinting 5 1/2 furlongs on Feb. 21 at Gulfstream, her only career start. Twice Grade 2-placed Prom Queen, described as an eye-catching maiden winner in her most recent start, also enters the field. William Werner's Betty's Pearl, a maiden special weight winner at seven furlongs on Feb. 8 at Gulfstream trained by Brian Lynch, breaks from Post 1 under Mario Gutierrez.

The Oaks is carded as Race 9 on a 14-race card that opens at 11:30 a.m. ET and features 10 stakes, five of them graded, with total purses of $2.675 million. The day's anchor event is the $1 million Curlin Florida Derby (G1) presented by Hill 'n' Dale Farm at Xalapa. The Gulfstream Park Oaks was first run in 1971, making Saturday's edition the 56th renewal of a race that has long served as Florida's primary Kentucky Oaks prep.
