Zane Navratil, George Wall headline exclusive Malaysia pickleball showcase
Zane Navratil and George Wall are set to turn a Kota Damansara showcase into a test case for Malaysia’s pickleball pipeline, with DUPR-matched locals, prizes and pro access.

Zane Navratil and George Wall are bringing more than marquee names to Kota Damansara. Their exclusive MyPickleball showcase at Mypickle Lifetime Courts is set to become one of Malaysia’s clearest tests yet of what imported pro star power can actually do for a growing pickleball scene.
The event is scheduled for May 12 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the venue in Strand Mall, PJU 5, Petaling Jaya, Selangor, placing it directly in the middle of a bigger pro window for the country. PPA Tour Asia’s Panas Kuala Lumpur Open follows from May 13 to 17 in Kuala Lumpur, creating a rare back-to-back stretch that gives Malaysian players and fans two chances in as many days to see elite-level pickleball up close.
What separates this showcase from a standard fan appearance is the format. Selected players rated between 3.0 and 4.5 on DUPR will team up for doubles and face Navratil and Wall in a five-point rally mini-game, with handicap scoring adjusted by rating to keep the match competitive. That matters because DUPR is used as a global rating system that syncs with major event and club platforms, giving local players a common standard for measuring themselves against touring pros instead of treating the visit as a photo opportunity only.
The incentives are built to pull players deeper into the action. Winners can take home Paddletek paddles, ProXR gear and other prizes, while spectators are promised live exhibition matches, photo opportunities, autograph sessions, lucky draws and door gifts. Up to 10 paddles are expected to be given away through the lucky draw, and Navratil’s chainsaw-serve challenge adds a personality-driven element that can turn a showcase into something players remember long after the session ends.

That is the real question for Malaysia: whether appearances like this can strengthen coaching knowledge, raise tournament credibility and make the country more attractive to sponsors, or whether they stay as one-off marketing moments. The timing argues for something more durable. Navratil is already listed on Pickleball.com for the PPA Asia 500 PANAS Kuala Lumpur Open 2026, and PPA Tour Asia has said its Malaysia stop will feature “the best professional pickleball players in Asia and beyond.”
With dedicated courts at Mypickle Lifetime and a major PPA circuit stop arriving immediately after the showcase, Malaysia is not just hosting names. It is trying to build a pathway, and this week will show whether the bridge between amateur ambition and pro-level pickleball is becoming real.
