World Table Tennis rankings see stars climb after latest update

Wang Chuqin stayed No. 1 in the latest World Table Tennis men’s singles rankings, and the 13 July 2026 update put a clear shape on the next fight for WTT Finals places. With WTT updating both the world rankings and the separate WTT Series Finals Race every week, the points table now carries direct weight for the season-ending draw, where only the top 16 singles players and top 7 doubles pairs at the entry deadline earn a ticket.

The men’s top five underlined how tight the elite tier has become. Wang held the lead with 9,177 points, while Truls Moregard stayed at No. 2 on 6,950. Sora Matsushima sat third on 6,298, Felix Lebrun was fourth on 5,779 and Tomokazu Harimoto rounded out the top five on 5,313. That group sits inside the lane that shapes seeding, late-round matchups and the pressure on everyone chasing the qualification line behind them.

The update also showed how much ground can be gained on the doubles side, where a strong run can shift the entire outlook for the next major event. Kuai Man led the women’s doubles individual rankings with 7,620 points, ahead of Wang Manyu on 7,400, Miwa Harimoto on 6,810 and Hina Hayata on 5,980. Four of the best women’s doubles names in the world were separated by fewer than 1,700 points, a spread that leaves plenty of room for one event to reshape the order.

WTT’s rankings engine tracks senior, youth and doubles categories, and the weekly cadence means every result is feeding directly into the next list. For players such as Matsushima, Lebrun and Harimoto, the current standing keeps them in the center of the title picture. For Kuai, Wang, Miwa and Hina, the doubles race is now just as valuable, with the top-seven cutoff turning each pairing into a live qualification case as the season moves toward its final draw.
