East Roundnet releases 2026 schedule, adds more sanctioned events

East Roundnet has released its 2026 schedule, and the biggest change for players is the addition of more nationally sanctioned events. That matters immediately for rankings, qualification stakes, travel budgets and the level of competition players should expect once they start building a season around the calendar. East called the year “the race to crown the best players and best clubs in the East.”

The series is built as “a collaboration between independent roundnet tournament directors” serving players traveling throughout the Northeast U.S., East Roundnet says in its FAQ. That setup makes the schedule release more than a simple date drop. It gives players, clubs and tournament hosts a framework for when to register, where to travel and how to line up local play against bigger regional fields. East also says anyone can play in its tournaments and that each event offers multiple divisions, with all series events registered through Fwango.

The 2026 plan also builds on how East has already structured its standings. In its 2025 Series overview, East said players would compete for individual, college club and open club achievements. That mix matters because it turns the season into a chase across several lanes at once: a single-player result can count alongside college club and open club performance, giving the series a broader competitive identity than a one-division circuit.

The move fits a wider roundnet calendar that is already organized around sanctioned play. USA Roundnet’s North American Tour Series page shows sanctioned competition at the national level, and its rankings page uses a North American rankings model. A North American Tour Series stop in Chicago is listed for July 18, 2026, while Baltimore’s event calendar listed the US Roundnet National Championship for October 4-5, 2025. Against that backdrop, East’s larger sanctioned slate gives Northeast players a more direct route from local events into the national circuit, with clearer consequences for who rises in the rankings and who gets into the biggest events.

East’s Instagram caption put the message bluntly: “The 2026 Schedule is here! More nationally sanctioned events than ever before are included in the race to crown the best players and best clubs in the East!” For a sport that blends club play, travel and official results, that kind of calendar is what turns a regional series into a pathway.
