That format matters for a campus club trying to keep people coming back. A bring-your-own-partner tournament lowers the barrier for students who want competition without the pressure of a full bracket stacked with unfamiliar names, and the costume angle gives casual members a reason to show up even if they are not chasing a title. For RIT Roundnet, the event fits a broader club identity that mixes play with participation rather than treating tournament day as an all-or-nothing test.
