Fire and Rescue Services personnel arrived after a call from a member of the public, and multiple fire tenders were engaged to bring the blaze under control. “Meanwhile, on receiving a call from a member of the public, Fire and Rescue Services personnel rushed to the spot and fire tenders were engaged in controlling the blaze,” officials said, while mall managers also mobilized internal teams: “The mall administration deployed staffers to control the fire.” The Hindu’s on-site coverage included imagery credited to B.
