Pizza Hut will try to turn Tax Day into a traffic spike with a large three-topping pizza starting at $10, a one-day value push that is set for April 15 and is built to move orders fast through stores, the app and the website. The deal will be available at participating locations, and customers will be able to redeem it in restaurants, on PizzaHut.com or in the Pizza Hut app.

The promotion will come with a choice of Hand Tossed, Tavern Style or Thin N Crispy crust, putting the brand’s crusts at the center of the offer instead of treating them as a side note. Pizza Hut has been leaning into that message since rolling out Hut Crust in March 2026, a platform meant to spotlight the company’s signature crusts and use the $10 large three-topping pizza as the campaign’s centerpiece.

For crews, the real story is how quickly a short-window, national deal can compress demand into the same lunch and late-afternoon hours that already strain staffing. Carryout and digital orders are likely to surge first, which means the front counter, make-line, make-table, oven, dispatch and phone order flow can all get busy at once. Managers may have to tighten labor around those peaks rather than spread coverage evenly through the day.

The new Hand Tossed recipe adds another layer of complexity. Pizza Hut says the updated crust is finished with a butter-garlic Hut Blend, and the company says it is the first update to that crust in more than a decade. That means workers on the line may have more customization questions to handle while still keeping speed and consistency intact, especially if customers are comparing crusts or using the deal to try something new. Hut Rewards members also can get early access to some products, another sign the chain wants to funnel more guests into its digital ecosystem.

The Tax Day push also lands while Yum! Brands keeps pressure on Pizza Hut to perform. Yum! said in November 2025 that it had begun a formal review of strategic options for the brand, a reminder that value offers are part of a bigger effort to improve results for franchisees, consumers and employees. Yum! says its system spans more than 63,000 restaurants in 155-plus countries and territories and includes more than 1,000,000 employees and franchise team members, which shows how much is riding on Pizza Hut’s ability to keep traffic coming without overwhelming the store-level labor that has to deliver it.
