A 26-year-old pizza delivery worker was approached and robbed at gunpoint outside an apartment complex on the 500 block of Victor Street in Winnipeg’s West End, police said. Winnipeg Police Service records show the worker was not injured after the encounter and fled the scene with the suspects having taken the pizza bag.

Police say officers were called just before 7:30 p.m. on March 5, 2026, after the delivery worker arrived to make the drop. According to the Winnipeg Police Service media release, the victim was met outside by a female suspect who "told him to wait" and left; he was then approached by two male suspects who "brandished what appeared to be a handgun and demanded his pizza bag" before fleeing.

Investigators located and arrested one male suspect just before 10:00 p.m. on the sidewalk in the 400 block of Broadway, an area described by CBC and local outlets as just west of the legislature. Police later located the remaining male and female suspects at a residence in the 500 block of Victor Street just after 11:00 p.m., with the Tactical Support Team and multiple General Patrol units assisting in those arrests. The Major Crimes Unit assumed the investigation following the initial patrol response.

Officers "located and seized the handgun that was later determined to be a CO2-propelled gun," the police release states. Multiple outlets reporting on the media release echoed that the firearm turned out to be a CO2-propelled device; Winnipeg Police identified the incident in media release C26-52018 and included a standard content warning about material that could be distressing.

The three youths arrested are two 16-year-old males and one 16-year-old female, each facing a charge of armed robbery using a firearm. Police and subsequent news reports say all three were released on undertakings after their arrests. Winnipeg Free Press noted the police put the account into a Saturday news release following the Thursday evening incident.

Police have not released names of the youths, and court scheduling or details of the undertakings were not included in the media release. The Major Crimes Unit remains responsible for the file as Winnipeg police continue to process the case and any forensic analysis of the seized CO2-propelled gun.
