Three brands with sharply distinct identities dropped one of the more compelling capsule collections of the spring season on March 21. WACKO MARIA, the Tokyo label known for its subversive reworking of Americana, joined forces with McGREGOR, a pillar of American casualwear since the 20th century, and WOLF'S HEAD, a Japanese reference for studded leather accessories, to release an SS26 capsule that moves confidently between workwear, streetwear, and sartorial dressing.

The collection leans into a mix of heritage and subculture influences, pulling from classic American silhouettes while reworking them through WACKO MARIA's distinct Tokyo lens. The result, as Complex put it, "feels both vintage-inspired and sharply modern."

Outerwear anchors the drop. The McGREGOR-signed Drizzler Jacket serves as the centerpiece, revisited with the visual DNA of WACKO MARIA through bolder cuts and finishes than the American original. It is joined by tiger-camo Vietnam jackets rendered in a revisited military style, traditional Vietnam silhouettes, retro-leaning 1950s jackets with a distinctly vintage look, and unconstructed jackets offered in both neutral tones and bold camouflage for a more relaxed approach to tailoring.

Below the waist, the range expands with real range. Dormeuil Rockabilly Pants bring a refined, structured edge to the lineup, while fatigue pants shift the register toward something more rugged and utilitarian. The two can coexist in a single wardrobe without effort, which is exactly the point. Corduroy open-collar shirts, drawing from mid-century influences, round out the shirting options with a texture that reads as deliberately unhurried.

WOLF'S HEAD's contribution is most visible in the accessories. A python leather belt closes out the collection as the kind of finishing detail that signals exactly where the collaboration's punk-leaning instincts live, reflecting the brand's handcrafted approach and attention to material.

The capsule is available now on WACKO MARIA's platforms and at select retailers.
