TK Maxx recalls Disney Frozen Bath Bomb Set over phthalate risk

Shoppers who bought the Disney Frozen Bath Bomb Set should stop using it now and return it, after a shower puff tag was found with excess phthalates.

If you bought the Disney Frozen Bath Bomb Set from TK Maxx or Homesense, stop using it immediately, keep it away from children, and take it back to store for a refund or replacement. The Office for Product Safety and Standards issued a serious recall on 9 April 2026, covering stock sold between March and June 2024, with all batch numbers affected.

The problem is in the Elsa shower puff included in the set. Homesense said the removable decorative tag attached to the puff contained an excessive concentration of phthalates, a chemical group the recall notice says may harm children’s health and could damage the reproductive system. The set was sold under product code 3666085950462 and receipt and price ticket code 768373, and it carried a price of £6.99 in the United Kingdom and €8.99 in the Republic of Ireland. ABC Distribution is named as the recalling company.

The notice says the product does not meet the requirements of REACH Enforcement Regulations 2008 or the General Product Safety Regulations 2005, the rules that underpin consumer-goods safety in Great Britain. Homesense and TK Maxx also listed customer service numbers for the recall, with the UK line on 01923 473561 and the Republic of Ireland line on 01 2476126, both tied to customerservice@tjxeurope.com.

For bath bomb fans, this recall is a blunt reminder that the risk is not always in the fizzy core. Character sets are judged as a whole package, and the add-ons matter just as much as the bath product itself. A themed gift can look harmless on the shelf, but a shower puff, decorative tag, coating, fragrance component, or other accessory can be the part that triggers the problem. That is why clear ingredient disclosure, careful testing, and age-appropriate packaging are not optional extras in this corner of the market. When Disney branding, children’s appeal, and a low-priced impulse buy meet in one set, every component has to clear the safety bar.
