Aventura 56MY Debuts as Bigger, More Ambitious Power Catamaran
After a late scramble to reach La Grande-Motte, Aventura’s 56MY landed with a new extended mold, a bigger cockpit and an XXL stern platform.

Aventura’s 56MY turned a bit of last-minute uncertainty into a clear statement of intent at La Grande-Motte. The bigger power catamaran arrived as a more ambitious step for the brand, built around the already roomy Aventura 14 platform but pushed far beyond a simple stretch job.
This was not just the old formula with a few extra feet added on. Aventura had first expanded the model to 50 feet in 2019, and the 56MY went further by adding a new hull section through an extended mold. That change created a much larger cockpit and an XXL fixed platform, while the aft sections of the hulls were redesigned to take more power. The result was a more integrated rethink of the same motor cat concept, one aimed squarely at buyers who want volume, flexibility and easy living without giving up the powercat layout.

The deck plan made that brief obvious. The main saloon placed the primary seating area to starboard, with a fore-and-aft galley opposite and the helm integrated into the main living level. The nacelle opened directly to a forward cockpit, which gave the boat a far more connected feel than a conventional cruiser with separated zones. Up to six cabins could be fitted in the hulls, a number that made the 56MY especially relevant for larger families and charter operators who need serious overnight capacity without moving into a monohull of similar length. The flybridge was described as immense, and on a boat like this that matters as much as the headline dimensions because it defines how the boat actually lives at anchor and under way.
The numbers backed up the ambition. The 56MY measured 16.9 meters overall, carried a 7.5-meter beam and drew 0.9 meters. Displacement was listed at 24.4 tons, with twin 485 hp or 550 hp engines and a 3,000-liter fuel tank, plus an optional extra 1,000 liters for longer-range cruising. With an ex-tax price of €1,065,000, Aventura placed the 56MY firmly in big-volume, big-deck territory, where the sale is about space as much as speed.

That is the real message of the 56MY. Aventura did not just enlarge a successful cat; it sharpened the formula for owners who want a powercat with more presence, more interior flexibility and a stronger social deck plan, and it did so in a way that pushed the brand decisively upmarket.
