The Dubai International Boat Show has been rescheduled from its originally planned 8–12 April 2026 dates to 25–29 November 2026, with Dubai World Trade Centre confirming the change will be held at the same Dubai Harbour venue the show has called home since 2022.

In a statement, DWTC said: "Over the past weeks we have been closely reviewing international travel dynamics and market conditions across the wider region. Following consultations with our industry partners and the authorities we have jointly agreed to reschedule DIBS until November 25th to 29th at the Dubai Harbour venue." Several outlets, including YachtWay and Boatindustry, reported the decision also came amid evolving security concerns in the Middle East and uncertainty around safe vessel transit through the Gulf, though DWTC's own stated rationale focuses on market conditions and travel flows.

For shipyards, brokerage houses and equipment manufacturers who plan their seasons around DIBS, the move into November carries a real upside: the show now lands at the start of the region's peak cruising window, when Gulf conditions are at their most favourable and international buyers are actively in the market. Multiple outlets, including YachtBuyer and YachtWay, report the 2026 edition marks a permanent shift, with DIBS set to run annually in November going forward rather than in spring.

The infrastructure picture around Dubai Harbour also looks stronger by November. A new super bridge connecting Sheikh Zayed Road directly to Dubai Harbour is expected to open ahead of the show, and a new multi-storey parking facility at the venue should ease the perennial logistics headache for large exhibitors. Over in Ajman, the purpose-built Superyacht Service Centre, designed specifically for the Middle East superyacht market, is set to be fully operational by then as well.

That said, November is going to be a genuinely compressed month for anyone working the UAE boat show circuit. The Dubai Pre-Owned Boat Show runs 12–15 November at Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club Marina, the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show follows immediately from 19–22 November, and then DIBS opens 25 November. Boatindustry flagged the "domino effect" this succession creates, particularly for shipyards and equipment manufacturers moving vessels and staff between multiple shows within a two-week window. It is a real logistical challenge worth planning for well in advance.

What the change does deliver, regardless of the compressed calendar, is certainty. As Elliott Fudge reported, the decision ends weeks of uncertainty for exhibitors and visitors who had been holding off on commitments while the April schedule remained in question.
