Omaya Yachts Names BB Yachts Agency Exclusive GCC Representative
Bianca Balfour says wealth moving to the UAE is at "an unprecedented rate" as Omaya Yachts taps Dubai's BB Yachts Agency to crack the GCC catamaran market.

Barely two years after launching from a Danube riverbank shipyard, Bulgarian builder Omaya Yachts has named Dubai-based BB Yachts Agency as its exclusive representative for the United Arab Emirates and the broader Gulf Cooperation Council region, with Bahrain, Qatar and Saudi Arabia identified as the next targets in the expansion push.
The appointment puts managing director Bianca Balfour at the front of Omaya's Gulf strategy. "The demand we're seeing is incredible," Balfour said. "Everyone wants to be here now, and the wealth moving to the UAE is at an unprecedented rate. Post-COVID, people have changed. The sea offers a great escape, privacy and calm away from daily life. Catamarans have become increasingly popular because they provide all of that, plus the space for entertainment and family time that plays such a huge part in UAE culture."
Omaya CEO Kaloyan Radulov pointed specifically to BB Yachts Agency's boutique character as the deciding factor. "Its boutique approach, deep understanding of the regional market, and genuine passion for our brand made it the ideal partner," Radulov said. "The Middle East holds a huge opportunity for OMAYA, and we're confident that BB Yachts Agency's personalised service and dedication to quality will resonate strongly with discerning clients in this dynamic market."
The partnership arrives at a moment of rapid momentum for Omaya. The Elica Group, a Bulgarian manufacturer with 30 years of production history, launched the brand in 2024, building its hulls at Elica Yard on the banks of the Danube. The OMAYA 50 made its public debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival in 2025, before the company stepped into the superyacht sector with the OMAYA 80. In February 2026, Elica Yard was officially rebranded as Omaya Yachts, consolidating the brand identity just weeks before the GCC deal was announced.

BB Yachts Agency brings more than a sales mandate to the table. The company collaborates with Ian Biles of the Maritime Training Academy, who also serves as BB Yachts Agency's Yacht and Superyacht Surveyor, giving clients access to technical oversight that extends well beyond the point of purchase.
For the GCC market as a whole, the full roster of member states, including Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, now falls within the scope of BB Yachts Agency's representation, with Bahrain, Qatar and Saudi Arabia named across multiple reports as the priority markets beyond the UAE itself.
