Seas The Day Charters USVI Partners With Afterpay for Flexible Catamaran Booking Payments
Seas The Day Charters USVI announced a partnership with Afterpay on March 20, letting guests spread payments on private catamaran charters from St. Thomas.

Seas The Day Charters USVI, the St. Thomas-based luxury charter operator running private day sails, snorkel excursions and crewed boat rentals across the Virgin Islands, announced a partnership with Afterpay on March 20 that lets guests book eligible yacht and catamaran charters and pay over time rather than settling the full cost upfront.
The company, which operates departures out of St. Thomas and St. John with a mixed fleet of sailing catamarans, yachts and powerboats, framed the move as an extension of its focus on making high-end charter experiences more accessible without changing what happens once guests step aboard. "We know today's travelers value both memorable experiences and payment flexibility," Stawski said in the company's announcement. "This new option gives our guests more choice in how they plan and pay for their time in the Virgin Islands, without compromising the quality of the experience."
The Afterpay integration covers eligible charter bookings, though the company did not specify which listings qualify, what purchase thresholds apply, or how many installments guests can expect. No fee or interest details were provided in the announcement.
The breadth of inventory those guests can now spread across payments is considerable. The company's flagship Mazu and Neptune listings, a pair of Gemini Legacy catamarans marketed as the "Best Family Value," run seven-hour full-day charters priced from $1,495 for up to eight guests, departing from Red Hook in St. Thomas, Cruz Bay in St. John, or Lovango Resort and Beach Club. The 47-foot S/Y Pisces, listed as the most popular offering, carries a current rate of $1,325 for half-day four-hour and full-day seven-hour options, discounted from an earlier $1,395. At the more curated end of the menu sits the 50-foot Voyage Catamaran Veuve Clicquot sunset champagne sail: a two-hour all-inclusive experience for up to 12 guests priced from $995, departing from Red Hook.

The Virgin Islands charter market gives that flexibility real weight. Private full-day catamaran rates across the region typically open above $1,300, a price point that has historically required paying in full or navigating deposit arrangements on a provider-by-provider basis. Sweet Pea Charters, another St. Thomas and St. John catamaran operator, lists its private day sail at $1,450 for up to 12 guests departing at 9:30 a.m., with a 20 percent deposit option already built into its booking flow. Its sunset cruise runs $1,295 for a two-hour evening sail departing at 5:00 p.m., also with a 20 percent deposit path.
Whether Afterpay's integration ultimately changes booking behavior on eligible Seas The Day Charters USVI listings will depend on the plan details the company has yet to publish. The announcement said nothing about which booking channels will support the option or whether it applies to direct reservations only.
