Legends Championship awards 32 CrossFit Games invites in Del Mar
Dallin Pepper, Olivia Kerstetter, James Sprague and Abigail Domit claimed the four individual tickets, while 28 masters invites went out across Del Mar.

Dallin Pepper, Olivia Kerstetter, James Sprague and Abigail Domit secured the four individual invitations out of Legends Championship, while 28 masters athletes punched their tickets to San Jose and sharpened the 2026 qualification picture for both divisions. The Del Mar weekend, run April 24-26, was one of the clearest pressure points on the road to the Games: the leaderboard mattered, the cutlines were real, and every qualified spot sent someone straight into the final field.
Pepper and Kerstetter finished first on the individual side, with Sprague and Domit taking the second qualifying positions. That matters because Legends was not a soft landing spot or an exhibition stop. It was an official CrossFit Semifinals event, and CrossFit’s 2026 framework has the top athletes from Quarterfinals advancing into invite-only Semifinals for a shot at the Games. In a season that marks the 20th CrossFit Games year, the return of Quarterfinals for individuals and age groups has made the ladder feel more defined, and Del Mar showed exactly how narrow the path can be.
The masters races were just as consequential. Scott Panchik and Carolyne Prevost won the 35-39 divisions, Bradley Alcock and Carly Newlands took 40-44, Andy Timm and Rebecca Voigt Miller won 45-49, Jason Grubb and Carol Mezen topped 50-54, Eric Smith and Cindy Hinkle won 55-59, Paul McCrary and Rose Wall took 60-64, Arthur Astorino and Denise Moore won 65-69, and David Hippensteel and Terry Carey won 70-plus. CrossFit said the athletes named in its update finished inside Games-qualifying positions, which means they will be invited to the Masters CrossFit Games by Legends in San Jose.
The timing makes the stakes even sharper. The Masters CrossFit Games by Legends are set for July 21-23 in San Jose, followed by the main CrossFit Games July 24-26. With invite-only fields and backfill rules if an athlete declines, every placement at Legends carries extra weight. A single result in Del Mar now changes not just one athlete’s summer, but the shape of the 2026 field itself.
