Puppy yoga, live music and vendors headline North Myrtle Beach block party
Adoptable pups from Kind Keeper hit the mats at Crooked Hammock’s Barefoot Landing backyard, then the day rolls into free live music, vendors and $5 beers.

Adoptable puppies from Kind Keeper Animal Rescue will be on the mats at Crooked Hammock Brewery’s Barefoot Landing backyard when Sea Yoga opens the Backyard Block Party at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 25, in North Myrtle Beach. The free event runs until 4 p.m. and uses puppy yoga as the front door to a bigger spring outing built around dogs, food, music and a brewery crowd that can stay put for the whole afternoon.
The setup at 4924 Highway 17 South is what makes this one stand out. Instead of a tight studio class, Sea Yoga is working in Crooked Hammock’s large outdoor backyard, with a gentle flow open to all levels and play breaks encouraged while the pups roam. Kind Keeper Animal Rescue will stay on-site with the dogs after yoga, which gives the event a real adoption angle instead of a one-off photo op.
Once the mats clear, the block party shifts into a full backyard hang. Chad Tolson is scheduled to play live music from 1 to 4 p.m., and Crooked Hammock says the day will also include a vendor village, backyard games, DIY craft stations and arts and crafts. The brewery is leaning into the casual, all-day format with $5 core beers in 24-ounce pours and event drinks that include Blueberry Citrus Hard Chiller and Hard Pink Lemonade. A free pink lemonade stand for kids keeps the whole thing family-friendly.

The puppy yoga is the hook, but the rescue piece is what gives it weight. Sea Yoga’s listing says the class is open to all levels and asks attendees to think ahead and bring supplies such as bleach, dish soap, rubber gloves, shoe coverings, disposable forks, disposable coffee cups and medical gowns. That kind of practical ask turns a cute weekend stop into something that helps the people caring for the dogs, too.
For anyone planning the morning, the one detail that matters most is timing: puppy yoga starts at 11 a.m., and the rest of the block party builds from there. Arrive early if the dogs are the main draw, because once the yoga wraps, Crooked Hammock’s backyard becomes the kind of easygoing North Myrtle Beach crowd scene that keeps people around through lunch, music and the last beer pour.
