Mike Terrana Partners With Williams Drumheads for Studio and Live Work
Veteran metal drummer Mike Terrana has signed with Williams Drumheads, a Brazilian brand ranked among the world's four biggest drumhead sellers, for all studio and live work.

Forty years into a career that has taken him from Yngwie Malmsteen's neoclassical thunder to the symphonic stages of Tarja Turunen, Mike Terrana has a new name on his kit. As of March 2026, Terrana officially partnered with Williams Drumheads, a Brazilian brand gaining recognition for its focus on innovation and high-performance sound.
Williams Drumheads describes the deal as a strategic step in its international expansion. Recognized as one of the four largest drumhead manufacturers in the world, the company is using the partnership to reinforce its global positioning. The brand was founded in 2016 by Brazilian businessman Silvio Cezar Tonelli with an explicit goal of building a globally competitive performance product.
For Terrana, the practical commitment is total. He will use Williams Drumheads products across all studio recordings and live performances worldwide, with the brand's DS series WC one-D snare head already part of his setup, described as pairing seamlessly with his Drumcraft kit to deliver a punchy, articulate tone.
The résumé Terrana brings to this partnership spans four decades and multiple continents. Between 1987 and 1997, Terrana was based in Los Angeles, working with artists including Yngwie Malmsteen, Tony Macalpine, Steve Lukather of Toto, and Jennifer Batten. In 1997, he relocated to Europe, settling in Hamburg, Germany, where he worked with Gamma Ray, Axel Rudi Pell, Masterplan, Rage, and Savage Circus. His long run with Tarja Turunen, including the recording of "What Lies Beneath" and the "Colors in the Dark" world tour, cemented his standing in the international symphonic and power metal world. He now counts more than 40 years of rock and metal drumming and has built an Instagram following of 863,000.

Terrana expressed enthusiasm for the new arrangement, noting that "the quality and sonic response" he found in Williams products are exactly what he needs to express his music with full intensity.
Williams confirmed that more details about the partnership are coming soon, suggesting that additional product announcements or collaborative projects may still be in the pipeline.
