The speculation is rooted in Rockstar's historical release patterns: both GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 received major trailer drops five to six months before launch, and with November 19, 2026 firmly locked in as GTA 6's release date, that window lands squarely on early spring.

The rumors trace back to whispers passed to press and YouTubers, with TGG among the creators specifically cited as receiving tips. The community has been here before. Redditor LFCameron7 pointed out that last year, some of the oldest and most respected creators claimed to have received a credible tip-off that "GTA VI trailer two will arrive in early April." That trailer ended up dropping last May instead.

There's real tension between the rumor timeline and the official corporate calendar. Take-Two said in their February earnings call that "Launch Marketing" for GTA 6 is officially slated for Summer 2026. Any trailer landing in March or early April would arrive ahead of that schedule, which is why some analysts view the rumors skeptically.
