Rockstar launches GTA Online 420 event with Stoner Survival mode, big rewards

Rockstar Games kicked off its LD Organics Presents: The 420 Event with a week that actually changes the login calculus. The headline draw is Stoner Survival, a hallucinatory four-player mode that activates at 4:20 p.m. every day in Los Santos and pays 4X GTA$ and RP through April 22. Clear five waves before then and Rockstar hands over the Sasquatch Outfit plus GTA$420,000, which makes this one of the more lucrative and more on-brand weekly rotations GTA Online has gotten in a while.

The practical angle is simple: this is not just another routine bonus week dressed up in green smoke. Stoner Survival starts from the Survival Blip in Freemode at the Senora Desert Trailer Park, and the setup alone makes it feel more like a themed event than a recycled playlist. Rockstar also pushed a fresh Hunting Pack (Get Lamar) location into the mix, and that pays 4X GTA$ and RP through April 29. Win two rounds between April 23 and April 29 and you unlock the Güffy Drug Rug Hoodie plus GTA$100,000.

There is real money in the business side too. Weed Farm Businesses and their upgrades are 40% off through April 22, while Biker Weed Sales pay Double Rewards from April 16 to April 22. If you miss that window, Counterfeit Cash Sales switch to Double Rewards from April 23 to April 29. First and Last Dose Missions are also worth a run, paying 3X GTA$ and RP from April 16 to April 22. For players still building out an MC stack or cleaning up old content, this week is stacked with better-than-usual returns.

Rockstar also folded in the smaller perks that make the event feel loaded rather than padded. The Black LD Organics Tee is free through April 29, and Rockstar support says the Multicolor 420 Festival Outfit will land within 72 hours for Rockstar Propaganda subscribers who sign up and play between April 16 and April 29. Peyote Plants are back, and Halloween weather returns nightly for extra chaos, which is exactly the kind of weird atmosphere this mode needs.

The bigger pattern is familiar, and that is part of the appeal. Rockstar has already used this stretch for 4/20-themed GTA Online weeks built around Short Trips and biker-business sales, usually centering Lamar Davis and LD Organics. This year follows the same playbook, but the numbers are better, the rewards are cleaner, and Stoner Survival gives the whole thing a sharper reason to log in now rather than later.
