Melrose Beer and Bites Craft Brew Fundraiser Returns to Memorial Hall
Now in its 8th year, Melrose BEER + BITES brings 20+ tasting stations of local craft pours and bites to Memorial Hall on April 11.
Melrose BEER + BITES is heading into its eighth year, and the lineup at Memorial Hall on April 11 makes a strong case that this fundraiser has figured out exactly what it wants to be: a proper craft beer tasting with real food to match, not a token pretzel bowl next to a keg.
The event runs 6:00 to 9:30 p.m. at Memorial Hall, 590 Main Street, Melrose, MA, with 2-oz pours spread across more than 20 tasting stations. The brewery roster spans the full range of what's interesting in the Massachusetts craft scene right now. Jack's Abby Craft Lagers, Harpoon Brewery, Night Shift Brewing, Wormtown, and Idle Hands Craft Ales are confirmed alongside smaller operations including BearMoose Brewing Company, Bent Water Brewing Company, Dirigible Brewing Company, Granite Coast Brewing, Hannah's Brewing Co., Spyglass Brewing Company, Twisted Fate Brewing, Arlington Brewing Company, and Lord Hobo Brewing Co. Stormalong Cider covers the fermented-but-not-beer contingent, and organizers have added organic wine and non-alcoholic options including mocktails for anyone looking to pace themselves or skip the alcohol entirely. 816 Brewing Company also appears on the confirmed list.
The food side gets actual restaurant representation rather than afterthought snacking. La Qchara, T'ahpas 529, Table Four Melrose, Farmland, Evviva Trattoria, Kettle Cuisine, La Frontera Sabrosa, and 110 Grill are among the food partners bringing appetizer-sized bites. That's a meaningful spread across cuisines, and the 2-oz pour format means you'll move through enough stations to actually want something to eat between samples.
Proceeds from the event benefit Melrose Highlands Church and the Bread of Life food pantry, with each ticket also including a $1 donation earmarked specifically for the Memorial Hall Restoration Fund.
Tickets are $50 plus Eventbrite processing fees and can be purchased at melrosebeerandbites.com. The official site notes door tickets may also be available the day of the event, though that's not guaranteed. This is a 21-plus event with no exceptions: valid photo ID is required at the door, and neither children nor babies are permitted. Refunds through Eventbrite are available up to one day before the event.
